I am new to the blogging storm that has swept across our Nation. It seems that any one can write a blog or generate a newsletter to connect with readers on the internet. I am not sure where this blog will go but today I am worried about the stray cats in our neighborhood.
Everyone should make an effort to help an abandoned or stray animal. There may be a group in your area or someone you know will be able to point in the right direction. There should be a law that prevents people from getting an animal and then abandoning it.
Our efforts have almost stopped because our money is out. The Vet prices are off the charts and out of our budgets. We have been trying to help these cats but new cats seem to be showing up. Being dropped off, wandering for food, or just been delivered by the countless stray or feral cats in our neighborhood.
We have tried our best but need help. I will not take a cat to a shelter that may kill them. The local area authorities expects the individual to take care of the problem or take them to a shelter in the city. Members of this community either honk their horns or look the other way. It is depressing to see the abandoned or stray cat population in America grow out of control. When will people care?
How can you not care about a creature God made? There needs to be more focus on these animals. Animals will bring joy to those taking care of them. The information is available but you need to make yourself aware of the problem. The pets in your area need attention. Look around and check your area. Please help an animal in your community. Visit a shelter or make a donation.
